Museum Comes Alive: Tribute to The Silence of the Lambs Over 21 Night
In April we experienced the sights, sounds and sips through early American history, and escaped to a 1941 Hawaiian Territories paradise in July. On October 20th we invite you to join us as we pay tribute to the 25th anniversary of The Silence of the Lambs, a cult classic and unique part of Soldiers & Sailors’ history.
Take selfies in the custom Cage reproduced in partnership with Hundred Acres Manor available for one night only in our ballroom where Hannibal’s escape scenes were filmed. Actors playing Hannibal Lector, Clarice Starling and other key roles as well as stills shot onsite from the thriller will complete the theatrical ambiance.
In addition to bringing the Cage Scene from The Silence of the Lambs alive on our third floor, we will be recalling eerie tales from the battlefield during the great American Conflicts throughout the museum. Local storyteller, Mike Kennelly, will be regaling us with spirited Civil War tales surrounded by interactive artifacts from the museum’s private collection. Our knowledgeable tour guides will be present to elaborate on the museum exhibits.
