PITTSBURGH — Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. today announced it will host a FREE concert performance by The Brass Roots, along with The Pine Creek Community Band and an appearance by the 6th Regiment U.S.C.T. Drum Corps.

 

“We are honored to present the inspiring and powerful sounds of The Brass Roots, along with The Pine Creek Community Band and our resident USCT Drum Corps at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum Trust, Inc.,” said President and CEO John F. McCabe.  “This annual musical concert is quickly becoming a Pittsburgh tradition featuring patriotic and holiday favorites for individuals and families to enjoy. Soldiers & Sailors is proud to recognize the service of our veterans, active military, and their families this season with our Patriotic Holiday Concert. The performance will include plenty of music to get listeners of all ages in the holiday spirit.”

 

The Brass Roots, a collection of Western Pennsylvania’s finest brass musicians and will provide a dynamic and entertaining afternoon for guests to enjoy. The ensemble-in-residence makes its home at Pittsburgh’s Soldier & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, where they present concerts in the memorial’s historic 2300-seat auditorium. The Brass Roots serve as SSMH’s Ensemble-In-Residence, regularly performing at galas, Hall of Valor inductions, and the annual Memorial Day Celebration.

 

The concert is FREE to the public and is scheduled on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 3 P.M.
