Remember 9-11

 The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, with a prayer service conducted by Reverend Michael Wurschmidt of Shepherd's Heart Fellowship followed by remarks from President John F. McCabe. A combined color guard from local university Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) will present the colors while the national anthem is sung. Patriotic songs and hymns will play while photographs of fallen soldiers play on a projector screen. University of Pittsburgh students will carry American flags for each fallen soldier from the auditorium to the front lawn. The students will then place the flags in rows creating a memorial tribute that will remain on the lawn for the upcoming week. Soldiers & Sailors United States Colored Troops Youth Re-enactment Drum Corps will play military drum beats throughout the event. The ceremony will commence with the playing of "Taps.
