PITTSBURGH — Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. announced today it will host their premier annual Cannon Ball Fundraising Gala on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

“Our one of a kind Memorial and mission honors and remembers our service members from all generations and conflicts, and this treasure is right here in our City,” said President & CEO John F. McCabe. Soldiers & Sailors annual fundraiser helps raise money to provide valuable educational and veteran programs and preserve and maintain the historic memorial and museum. “This is a time when business and community leaders along with the entire region are invited to enjoy an evening at the museum, show their support for the Memorial, and learn about our organization and our mission,” McCabe added.

While enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, guests will experience the museum exhibits as they Come Alive with actors depicting renowned icons like Rosie the Riveter, Henry Hornbostel, Tuskegee Airmen, Civil War veterans, USO performers, WWI pilots, and heroes from today’s conflicts.   Guests then move to the elegant Ball Room for dinner, dessert and our 2015 Friend and Patriot of the Year presentation awarded to Rory A. Cooper, Ph.D.  We will cap off the evening in the historic auditorium with the first ever Cannon Ball Jam concert featuring The B-MEN, special guest Joe Grushecky and some other familiar faces. Throughout this entertaining night, guests will also enjoy unique encounters with mentalist Collin Stover, performances by The Brass Roots, and memories captured in the gala’s photo booth.

Mike Frazer, Afternoon Personality – 94.5 – 3WS Radio returns to emcee the evening’s festivities.
