Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum will be temporarily closed as part of an international effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As quickly as the situation changes, we intend to respond to those changes as needed. We also intend on maintaining essential elements of our Memorial so that when we begin our normal lives again, Soldiers & Sailors is ready to welcome everyone back.
“We are taking action to ensure the health and safety of our guests, our staff, and our volunteers, “ says President & CEO John McCabe. “We began taking the responsible step before mandatory closures were enacted and are now aligning this decision with the recommendations of the CDC, the World Health Organization, and the state of Pennsylvania and our local government.”
Because of the rapidly changing nature of this pandemic, a re-opening date will not be announced at this time. Museum leadership will continue to monitor the progress of the virus and communicate with appropriate individuals throughout the closure. Updates to the Museum’s hours will be posted on its website and social media channels. We thank you so much for all of your cooperation, patience and understanding at this time and hope you and your loved ones remain healthy. We will get through this, together.
